Allen Huber chauffeurs viewers through a visual travelogue of 3 California locations in his first publication titled,

Family Driving.

On a still day in 2021, Allen along with his father and brother, explore the quiet gradients of Big Sur, Monterey Bay and Pebble Beach from ~ 10AM to 7PM. Somewhere between a zine and a book, Family Driving aims to walk the tight rope between a nostalgic day vacation and fine art. How much can you write about a set of images before its the text telling the story instead of the photographs?

Hi. I’m Allen.

And I’ve always loved photography. I spent 4 years shooting, developing, and printing in my high school darkroom many moons ago, and I just never stopped loving the process. Although I shoot a blend of film and digital today, my favorite subject to photograph never changed; the one right in front of me. People getting married. People following their passion projects. Or people just plain hangin’ out. It’s beautiful, really. Folks share moments with me, and I get to share them right back.
